Camping Belle Roche - Lalley

In the south of the Isère Department there is a large open valley surrounded by mountains known as the Triéves region. We had selected a campsite at Mens but we arrived in the town during a sports car rally so decided to travel to the next village of Lalley where we found the excellent municipal site Camping Belle Roche with pool, bar and cafe.

It was a short walk into the village of mostly old houses with fountain, stocks and many varieties of doors and windows. Many buildings also had distinctive roof tiles.
There was also a shrine and chapel on a hill to the west of the village with good views across to the Ecrins and Vercours mountainsand the distinctive Mont Aiguille to the north-west
